Contraindications for treatment:

- Photosensitising medications (break between the last dose and the treatment is a
minimum 10 days) - Herbs
– St. John’s Wort
– Calendula - Active skin infection in the treated area (bacterial, viral or fungal)
- Cold sores (herpes)
- Cancer
- Collagenase
- Metal implants, pacemaker
- Allergy to metal
- Autoimmune disease
– HIV
– Lupus
– Hepatitis - Blood thinners
- Accutane (isotretinoin)
- Cortisone or steroid injections
- Cardiovascular disease, heart disease, heart attacks
- Epilepsy
- Dysesthesia
- Peripheral vascular disease
- Tuberculosis
- Thrombophlebitis and venous thrombosis (or their possible occurrence)
- Varicose veins
- Lymphatic system disease, Lymphangitis
- Rosacea
- Diabetes (Type 1)
- Enlarged or infected tonsils
- Creams or ointment with vitamin A, retinoids (e.g. Isotrexin, Differin, Zorac, Retin A),vitamin C and fruit acids (stop use two weeks before the treatment)
- Oral Retinoids treatment e.g. Roaccutane (stop use half a year before the first treatment)
- Hair removal with tweezing, waxing or epilator (stop use 7 days before treatment)
